Armenian SCPEC suspects five poultries of entering in anticompetitive agreement

YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) has opened an inquiry into five poultry farms, namely Arzni Poultry Farm, Project Inter-Invest, Ashtarak Dzu, Lusakert Elite and Araks l Poultry Farm.

According to Ani Smbatyan, a spokeswoman for SCPEC, the regulator will check whether these companies abuse their dominant positions in the market or whether they have entered into an anticompetitive agreement.

According to the official data of the National Statistical Committee, eggs prices in Armenia grew by 28.7% in May 2022 from May 2021. –0–
